Appendix 1: Removing the Unit’s Hard Drive
The hard drive of the MVG400 can easily be removed and replaced with another one. This may be a convenient
way to review or download video from the hard drive. For example, if MVG400 units are installed in a fleet of
buses, you may want to remove the hard drive from each bus when it comes into the bus depot, and replace it with a
different hard drive. You can then insert the hard drive into an MVG400 at the yard office and view or download
the video from it.
NOTE:
For information about acquiring additional hard drives that are compatible with the MVG400, please
consult your MVG400 vendor or SerVision technical support.
 To remove the hard drive from the M VG400 unit:
1. Disconnect the MVG400 from the power supply.
2. On the left side of the unit, use the key that was supplied with the unit to unlock the cover of the hard-drive
compartment, and then remove the cover.

3. Loosen the screws that secure the hard-drive platform in the compartment.
