8.4 How to change IP settings of the AsteRx SB

P settings of the AsteRx SB Sx can be con

nterface. By default, the AsteRx SB Sx is con

gured to use DHCP to obtain an

P address
but, a static
I
P address can also be con
fi
gured as shown in Figure 8-8. The
lif,ipparameters
command shows the current ip con
fi
guration available and can be helpful for debugging
network issues.

n Static mode, the receiver will not attempt to request an address via DHCP but will use the
speci
fi
ed
I
P address, netmask, gateway, domain name and DNS. DNS1 is the primary DNS,
and DNS2 is the backup DNS.
I
n DHCP mode, the arguments
I
P, Netmask, Gateway, Domain,
DNS1, and DNS2 are ignored.
