Explanation of functions/terms used
Sun protection function
In dependence of the settable light values and the actual sun radiation the sun protec-
tion system will automatically be retracted and extended. Extends the awning if the sun
threshold value is exceeded (preset delay: 5 min.). Retracts the awning if the sun
threshold value is not achieved (preset delay: 15 min.).
Note:
For the recording and analysis of the sun light an optimal positioning of the iveo Sensor
WS/WSRF is necessary.
• During the day near trees and neighbouring buildings may throw shadows and influ-
ence the automatic operation.
• Through soiling of the housing the recording of the sun light may be affected.
• Sun protection system may not be extended uncontrolled and automatically if this
leads to danger. This applies e.g. for a sudden change of the weather.
• At frost, snowfall, freezing rain or similar weather conditions it is absolutely necessary
to switch off the automatic operation. Please also observe the provisions of the sun
protection system manufacturer.
Rain protection function (only iveo WSRF)
Retracts the awning and prevents automatic extension.
Caution!
• The rain sensor is hot during operation, there is a risk of burns when
touched. Please do not touch the rain sensor in operation.
When the sensor surface is wet /moist the sun protection system will be retracted. The
sensor surface will be warmed up automatically as long as water is detected. This
provides a fast drying after the rain has stopped.
When the sun automatic is activated and the set sun threshold value will be or is
exceeded, the sun protection system will be extended automatically. When the sun
automatic is not activated, nothing will happen after the rain has stopped.
Frost protection function (only iveo WSRF)
The frost function protects the sun protection system against damages. When tem-
peratures below +4 °C are measured, the sun protection system will no longer extend
automatically.
Twilight function
Retracts the awning during twilight hours (mornings and evenings). Will not be execut-
ed when the encoding switch in the sensor is switched to the Venetian blind function.
Test function
Reduced delay times from minutes to seconds. To start the test function, press the
STOP button on the transmitter for 6 seconds. The receivers are in test mode for
5 minutes. The test mode can be stopped by sliding the manual/automatic sliding
switch
(AUTO-HAND-AUTO).
Data transfer
The sensor transfers the current wind and sun values to the receiver via radio signals
at approx. one minute intervals. Big changes are transmitted immediately.
Awning indicates:
Manual extension is stopped after 2–4 sec. and the awning retracts.
