Parts dismantling and re-installation procedure
11) PARTS DISMANTLING AND RE-INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE .
(see fig. 44 a 48)
G 240 :
11.1)
Upper cover .
- Remove the three screws (point 1 in figure) on each side of
the upper cover.
- Remove the belt and cover. A yellow-green earth wire is fixed
at the top of the inside of the cover; this wire must be unfa-
stened in order to completely free the cover.
To refit, carry out these jobs in reverse order.
IMPORTANT ! : Don't forget to fix the yellow-green
cable to the cover before refitting the cover
definitively.
11.2)
Plastic front panel
This part can be removed only after removing:
- the front panel FP104 or FP106
- the plastic base or the cooling unit, depending on which of
these two parts is present.
- Remove the two screws below the front panel PF104 or
FP106 (see point 2 in figure)
- Remove the two screws in the lower part of the plastic panel
near the output terminals (see point 3 in figure)
- Remove the two screws in the part below the plastic panel
(see point 4 in figure)
To refit, carry out these jobs in reverse order.
11.3)
Plastic rear panel.
This part can be removed only after removing
- the rear panel FP114 or FP113;
- the plastic base or the cooling unit, depending on which part
is present.
- Loosen the power supply cable block by unscrewing the cable
grip screws
- Remove the two screws below the rear panel (see point 5 in
figure)
- Remove the two screws at the bottom of the rear plastic panel
(see point 6 in figure)
- Remove the two screws below the plastic panel (see point 7
in figure)
To refit, carry out these jobs in reverse order.
11.4)
Switch - Knob for switch
- Disconnect the power supply cable from the switch terminals.
- Remove the knob by unscrewing the fixing screw positioned
in line with the shaft in order to access the two switch fixing
screws.
- Unscrew the two switch fixing screws.
To refit, carry out these jobs in reverse order.
11.5)
Power supply cable
- Disconnect the power supply phase cables from the switch
terminals.
- Disconnect the yellow-green cable from the earth terminal on
the intermediate support.
- Unscrew the two cable grip fixing screws to release the power
supply cable.
To refit, carry out these jobs in reverse order.
11.6)
Cable grip
Remove the power supply cable and unscrew the two fixing screws.
11.7)
Part 14.60.060
This part can be removed only after removing:
- the plastic base
- the metal base
- the capacitor
- the board 15.14.192 (if present)
- Disconnect connectors CN1, CN2 and CN3.
- Disconnect the cables fixed by means of nuts to board
15.14.254 (see point 8 and 9 in figure).
- Remove the fixing screw which can be accessed from the slot
below the capacitor (see point 10 in figure).
- Remove the fixing screw which can be accessed from the hole
below board 15.14.192 (see point 11 in figure).
- Remove the screw (see point 8A in figure).
To refit, carry out these jobs in reverse order.
IMPORTANT! When replacing the metal base,
ensure that you fit the plastic protection between
the rectifier unit radiator and the base itself.
IMPORTANT! When reconnecting cables no.22 and
no.23, make sure that you do not invert the red and
black cables! The red cable no.22 must be fixed to the
lower pc-board path and the black one no. 23 to the
upper pc-board path.
11.8)
Board 15.14.233
This part can be removed only after removing:
- the master switch
- the capacitor
- the auxiliary transformer
- board 15.14.192 (if present)
- Disconnect cables no.22 and no.23 from board 15.14.254
and the yellow-green cable from the earth terminal on the
intermediate support.
- Disconnect connectors CN1, CN2, CN3 and CN4.
- Remove the six screws securing the board to the intermediate
support (see point 12 in figure) and the diode bridge fixing
screw (see point 13 in figure).
Assembly:
- Thoroughly clean the radiator and apply a thin uniform layer
of thermal paste on the surface of the rectifier bridge.
- Fit the rectifier bridge on the intermediate support in line with
the fixing hole (see point 13 in figure).
- Fit board 15.14.233 and secure it by means of the six screws
(see point 12 in figure).
- Tighten the rectifier bridge fixing screws by means of a torque
wrench set to 0.9 - 1.1 Nxm and weld the component
terminals.
- Re-connect the four connectors to the board and cables
no.22 and no.23 to board 15.14.254.
