6.2 Connection of Power and Ground
• Use the power supply equpped wth an earth leakage breaker. Use of power supply
wthout such a breaker could result n fire f there s a current leakage.
• Ths product MUST be EARTHED. Usng ths product wthout a sutable earth wll cause
electrc shock and possbly cause a fire hazzard.
• Do not expose the power cords. If these are exposed, customers could stumble over
them, for nstance, and easly damage them. Addtonally, f these lnes are damaged,
there could be a rsk of electrcal shock or short crcut. Set these lnes at locatons
where they wll not nterfere wth customer traffic, or attach covers to them.
• After layng out the power cord on the floor, be sure to always protect t. If the power
cord s left exposed, t can easly be damaged, resultng n electrcal shock.
• Ths product comes complete wth POWER CORDS for the UK and EUROPEAN
destnatons. Be sure to use the power cords suppled. If a power cord s to be
replaced, be sure to replace t wth the same specficaton as the one provded.
�he accessor� power cord has a ground wire inside it. Connect the power cord to the AC unit then
insert the power cord plug into a “power outlet with ground terminal.” If there is no “power outlet with
ground terminal,” be sure to establish ground b� some other means; for example, b� connecting the AC
unit ground terminal to a ground wire with a ground mechanism prepared separatel�.
If �ou use a conversion adapter sold on the mar�et to suppl� power, connect the ground wire terminal of
the adapter to a “securel� grounded ground terminal.” <For �aiwan>

If groundng has been establshed wth the ground wre nsde the power cord, do not
perform groundng wth the AC unt ground termnal. Conversely, f the AC unt ground
termnal has been used for groundng, do not establsh ground wth the ground wre n
the power cord. Otherwse there could be faulty or erroneous operatons.
