SAFETY_OK signal loop

If the SAFETY_OK signal is interrupted, then the machine can not be

moved.

Step board switch

•

The step board switch makes sure that the machine does not

work if no one is standing on the step board.

•

If the step board switch is not activated the SAFETY_OK signal is

interrupted.

No error message appears on the display.

•

The power for traction motor and brush motor will be switched

off and the brakes are applied if the SAFETY_OK signal is

interrupted.

Remarks

The TASKI swingo XP-R got a brush coupling sequence. This coupling

sequence starts only if the brush unit is lowered and step board switch

is activated.

Trigger protocol (Watchdog)

•

The trigger protocol ensures the communication between the

dashboard and the power electronics.

•

This trigger protocol is sent continuously from the power

electronics microprocessor to the dashboard microprocessor

and vice versa.

•

If the communication is interrupted, the dashboard

microprocessor does not get the trigger protocol and the

SAFETY_OK signal is cut off.

•

The power electronics microprocessor will not get a feedback

from the dashboard microprocessor.

•

A counter in the power electronics will start to increment for

each trigger protocol which does not come back from the

dashboard microprocessor.

•

As soon as the counter reaches a certain value the traction and

the brush motors will be switched off and the brakes will be

applied.

•

Once a trigger protocol reaches the power electronics

microprocessor again, the counter will be reset automatically

and the machine will work again.
