TRAINERS
Seacocks and strainers provide cooling water to
the engines, generator and A/C units located
throughout the bilge area.
To open the seacock, turn the handle in line with
water flow (vertically). To close, turn the handle
against water flow (horizontally). The strainers
should be inspected frequently and cleaned out
when plugged. If operation of the air conditioning is
excessive it is important that the A/C unit strainers
are inspected more frequently than other strainers.
The seacock body should be inspected and
lubricated annually.
