2 Basic safety notes
2.1 Intended use
The product is designed exclusively to transmit rotating
movements or forces by means of a directly driven drive module.
The integrated rotary feed-through serves exclusively to transmit
pneumatic and electric energy.
• The product may only be used within the scope of its specified
technical data, dimensions, prescribed dimension drawings and
operating conditions. The specified tightening torque must be
adhered to.
• The product is intended for installation in a machine/system.
The applicable guidelines must be observed and complied with.
• The product is intended for industrial and industry-oriented use.
• Appropriate use of the product includes compliance with all
instructions in this manual.
• Operating modes with low speeds of rotation, reverse operation
and mechanical vibrations may reduce the product's service life.
• The product may only be operated within its service life and
used for safety applications. After this period, the bearings may
fail due to wear and fatigue. After its service life has been
reached, the product must therefore be taken out of operation.
• Avoid passage of current through the ball bearings (e.g. by
coupled currents).
2.2 Reasonably foreseeable misuse
• Used to transport persons or animals
• Motor is not suitable for direct mains connection
• Not suitable for use under water
2.3 Constructional changes
Implementation of structural changes
By conversions, changes, and reworking, e.g. additional threads,
holes, or safety devices can impair the functioning or safety of the
product or damage it.
• Structural changes should only be made with the written
approval of SCHUNK.
