6 Troubleshooting
The device must be installed and maintained by qualified personnel, mechanics
and electricians. Any work on the electrical equipment may be carried out only by a
qualified electrician.
After any repair or maintenance work, check the safety devices as described in the
sect
ion “Safety”.
General
Fault Cause Remedy
Vacuum does not reach
-0.6 bar Seal damaged Replace seal
Workpiece has cracks, openings or is
porous The workpiece is not suitable for
handling with the vacuum turning bench.
Hose defective / connectors not tight Replace components
Vacuum gauge defective Replace vacuum gauge
Vacuum generator
works but load cannot
be picked up You have not pressed the push button
(or actuated the foot switch) "Grip". Activate the function "Grip" with the
push button or foot switch.
valve is defective Repair / replace it
Not all suction pads are in contact with
the workpiece (air is drawn in) Position the device with suction pads
completely on the workpiece
Filter is dirty Clean / replace filter cartridge
Filter cover open Screw down the cover
Hose defective / connectors not tight Replace components
Geared motor does not
run
Power supply failure Check supply line
Geared motor defective Repair / replace it
Pump does not run Wrongly connected, defective Check and correct connections
Motor overload switch tripped Check
Power on two phases only Check connections and fuse
Current consumption too high Check motor for defects. Possibly a
thermal over-load (allow it to cool), clean
dust filter
Power supply failure Check supply line
Vacuum pump defective Check the pump, call for service
Pump runs, but does not
generate a vacuum Wrong rotation direction Check and correct connections
Warning device sounds Workpiece has cracks or openings or
is porous
Such workpieces cannot be handled
with this lifting device
Sealing lip is damaged Replace the sealing lip
Hose or connectors leaking Replace faulty parts
Vacuum switch defective or set wrongly Call customer service
Version with suction pads which can be deactivated (optional)
