5.2 Clamping the
Workpiece
Switch on the vacuum generator.
Position the load over the suction pads, ensuring that the weight is distributed
evenly.
Place the workpiece on the VWT, ensuring that it is in contact with all of the
suction pads. If the bench is equiped with switchable suction pads, make sure
that the unused pads are switched off and that the pads under the workpiece
are switched on.
Press the button (or actuate the foot switch) "Grip" to secure the workpiece.
Watch the pressure gauge. As soon as a vacuum pressure of -0.6 bar has
been reached you can turn the load. Never attempt to lift the load with a lower
vacuum since it will be dropped.
When lifting, ensure that only one piece of the items to be lifted is actually
lifted. Before lifting, carefully remove any other pieces sticking to the one you
want to lift with the aid of a screwdriver. Do not try to separate the items with
your hands, since this could result in injuries.
5.3 Releasing the
Workpiece
Turn the workpiece so that it is resting on top of the suction pads. Ensure that
the load cannot slip from the vacuum turning bench when it is released.
Press the button (or actuate the foot switch) "Release" to release the
workpiece.
5.4 Turning the
workpiece

Once the workpiece has been picked up, it can be turned by up to 180° with the
push buttons on the control panel. The workpiece turns as long as the push
button is held down or until the limit switch at 0° or 180° is actuated
Take care that the workpiece does not hit anything while it is turning!
