Functional description

Dräger Interlock

Before starting a vehicle equipped with the Dräger Interlock
®
5000/
7000

, the driver must provide a breath sample. The unit measures
the breath alcohol concentration and can (optionally) log to memory
the test result, the measured value, engine starts and notes about
manipulations and violations. The vehicle can only be started when the
measured breath alcohol concentration lies below a preset limit value.
The instrument will also ask (optional) for retests while driving.
2.2.2
Camera (available as an option)
The camera can be used to record photos of the text subject during
a measurement.
2.2.3
GPRS module (optionally available)
The GPRS module can be used to expand the device with additional
functionalities.

The Interlock

5000/7000 is a breath alcohol measuring instrument
with a vehicle "immobilizer".
