increases energy consumption, clean
the condenser at the back of the appli-
ance once a year with a soft brush or a
vacuum cleaner.
-
Check the water drain hole on the rear
wall of the refrigerator compartment.
-
Clear a blocked drain hole with the aid
of something like soft green peg, be
careful not to make any damage to the
cabinet by sharp things.
-
After everything is dry turn on the appli-
ance.
Defrosting - Why defrosting
-
Water from food and air may form a
frost layer inside. This will weaken the
refrigeration when the frost is thick.
When it is more than 10mm thick, you
should defrost.
Defrosting in fresh food storage
compartment
-
The refrigeration compartment has
auto-defrost so there is no need to man-
ually defrost. Water from defrosting will
be drained into a drip tray through a
drainpipe at the back of the fridge auto-
matically.
Not used for a long time
-
Remove all refrigerated packages.
-
Switch off the appliance by turning the
temperature regulator to position "O".
-
Remove the mains plug or switch off or
disconnect the electricity supply.
-
Clean thoroughly (see section: Cleaning
and Care)
-
Leave the door open to avoid the
buildup of odors.
