5.0 Sensor
The sensor consists of a ceramic sensing element whose electrical conductivity increases when
hydrogen is adsorbed on its surface. Conductivity of the sensor is proportional to the gas
concentration which is continuously monitored by an electronic circuit. The sensor only monitors
pure hydrogen gas (H2) and will not alarm due to Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)
– which has an odor
at very low concentrations.
