OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
For Electronic Polarity Reversing Control Units
WORKHOLDING AND AUTOMATION
The electronic control-unit provides a selftest cycle, that goes into action as soon as voltage is available.
Three failure messages are possible at the LED-display:

Measure coil resistance and
isolation resistance (disconnect
cable at control unit +/-)
Send Magnetic System with Cont-
rols to SAV.
Measure coil resistance and
isolation resistance (disconnect
cable at magnet terminal box)
Send Magnetic System with Cont-
rols to SAV.
Mains voltage variations
bigger than 5% / Phase
shifts in mains.
When step-down transformer is
used, measure the secondary
voltage during first demagneti-
zing pulse
Use isolation transformer with
suitable rating.
Mains power factor compen-
sation unit defective. Check
Cos-Phi.
When required, change compen-
sators.
Is a frequency converter present
in mains?
Set-up a separate mains supply
