Manual activation of winter mode
After the automatic heating limit (PAR 4) has been detected, the
controller will switch to summer mode (heating OFF ) after a de-
lay (PAR 6).
Winter operating can also be activated at any time by pressing
key
and then
in sequence (refer also to the section "Se-
lecting the operating mode")

Frost-protection function
If the outdoor temperature drops below the set frost-limit value
(SERV 64), the system switches on the circulation pump and the
secondary flow temperature is continuously monitored. When
flow temperature falls below 10 ° C, the final control element is
opened until flow temperature has reached a value of 20 ° C.
Then, the final control element is closed again, etc. (prerequisite:
energy supply on the primary side must be in operation).
The frost-protection function is always guaranteed, even when
the room temperature lies above the setpoint for the reduced
room temperature, after a change-over
→
.
The frost-protection function is switched off again when the outdoor
temperature exceeds the value of the set frost limit (SERV 64).
The frost-protection function is also active for a possible second
heating circuit.
Pump control
The pumps actuated by the system are switched on and off as
required. Pumps are normally only switched off after the
adjustable follow-up time has elapsed.
•
For the circulation pump of heating circuit 1, this
corresponds to the setting value SERV 08 (applies also
for the circulation pump of heating circuit 2)
•
For the tank charge pump, this corresponds to the
setting value SERV 09 (applies also for the second
charge pump which always has this follow-up time).
Anti-jamming function
All pumps actuated by the controller are switched on once a
week for a short period if they have not been switched on for a
period of 168 hrs (= 1 week). This procedure reliably prevents
the pumps from seizing.
Mains power failure
In the event of a mains power failure, the closed-loop control and
display functions are interrupted. The pumps stand still, the con-
trol valves remain in their last position (unless valves with an
emergency position are installed). The built-in clock keeps on
running and shows updated values after mains power has been
restored. After long mains failures (over 15 hours), the controller
may indicate the wrong time and day of the week when mains
power is restored. In this case, the day of the week, the time and,
in some cases, the date must be updated (refer to SET).
Your heating controller stores all further settings and switching
commands in a non-volatile memory: these values need, there-
fore, not be entered after mains power failures.
