The user must not perform the maintenance described in this section.
Be sure to contact your supplier for maintenance.
CAUTION
!
•
Internal maintenance and inspection should be performed only by technically qualified
personnel. Electric shock, injury, burning, fuming or fire could otherwise result.
•
Batteries should be replaced periodically. Batteries used after their service life has
passed may cause a fire.
•
Never use organic chemicals such as gasoline, thinner, benzene or detergent to clean
batteries. These can cause the casing to crack and leak, resulting in fire or current
leakage.
•
Do not touch the rotating fan at maintenance. Doing so may result in bodily injury.
•
Never use a wet cloth to clean the UPS. Doing so may result in an electric shock.
•
When cleaning, do not connect a vacuum cleaner to the outlet of the UPS. Doing so may
result in smoke or fire.

You can replace the batteries without stopping the load devices. However, this should be done as quickly
as possible, because the UPS will be unable to provide backup power in the event of a power outage.
CAUTION
!
•
The battery pack weighs about 6 kg (13.23 lbs). Be careful not to drop it on your feet.
Bodily injury can result.
•
Wear insulated gloves and take other precautions when replacing the batteries.
Otherwise electric shock can result.
•
There is a constant voltage (max. approx. 24 V: approx. 12 V
×
2) at the battery
terminals. Do not touch them with your hands or short-circuit them. Bodily injury can
result.
①
Check the replacement battery model name.
Mode name: HRL1234WF2FR (manufactured by CSB BATTERY Co., LTD.)
②
Remove the front panel on the right side of the UPS.
③
Remove the screw on the bottom side of the battery cover, and then remove the battery cover.
④
Disconnect the battery connector.
This UPS uses the battery HRL1234WF2FR manufactured by CSB BATTERY Co., LTD.
Since this battery is designed specifically for the UPS, do not use a different battery. Do not
substitute with any other type, and do not mix new and old batteries, as shortened battery life,
leakage, and heat could result.
Note on battery replacement
!
④
Disconnect the battery
connector.
Insulate with tape or
other insulator.
③
Remove the screw, slide the
battery cover up, and pull
forward. Be sure not to drop
the screw when you remove it.
②
While firmly pressing in at the
two locations indicated by
●
,
lift up and pull forward.
