Ⅳ. ADJUSTMENT
15. CCD Black Level (OB)
A. Purpose
The CCD sensor can make the read out data in the dark conditions by it’s characteristics,
and the contrast of the image can be affected by the read out data.
To compensate the phenomenon, the CCD has lightproof field.
But, there are differences between the CCD and lightproof filed.
To compensate the differences, do the CCD Black Level adjustment.
AS the Back Level depends on the ISO gain to change, do the Back Level adjustment by ISO value.
B. Behavior
① Adjusting the Black Level
② Insert the SD card that has the script file and turn on the camera.

Exposure of the camera is set as 1/50 sec (Shutter speed), f2.8 (Aperture) by the script.

ISO of the camera changes in 100/200/400/800/1000 order by the script.
⑤ Blocking the Mecha shutter, take 5 images with each ISO values. Compare the values of lightproof field and
center of the image and record the results.
⑥ Repeat the step 5 in every ISO values.
C. Spec (Standard for checking defect)
If the result of Black Level is near the 0, the image field and lightproof field have same characteristics,
the result is far from the 0, there are differences between the image field and lightproof field.
Get the Black Level data 5 times by each ISO values and more than 3 results meet the standard,
the adjustments is good. The rest cases is bad.
The standard (Based on PV3) is as following, and the figures can be changed.
