Viewing a Received Message
You can receive text messages. You can also receive e-mail
messages offline or online.
Viewing a SMS Message
When you receive a new message,
appears on the
status bar of the screen and your PDA phone alerts you by
ringing or vibrating, depending on the ringer type you have
set. To change the ringer type, see page 6-13.
All received messages are stored in the Inbox folder at the
top left of the screen.
Note
:The R-UIM card is able to save a given amount of
messages. If it is full, another messages saved in PDA memory.
If a message comes in when your PDA phone is sleeping in
the PDA mode or you are working with another application,
the incoming message notice screen displays.
1. On the Message Box home screen, select
SMS
at the top
right of the screen.
Or if you are working with another application, tap
on
the status bar to open the Message Box screen.
Make sure that
SMS
is selected.
Select the folder
you want to
display.
Tap to open a
message.
OR
Tap and hold to
display a pop-up
of actions.
These icons show the
message saved location
and the reading status.
(For example,
:read message in
the R-UIM card.
:unread message
in the PDA memory.)
