Cleaning the Viewfinder

Releasing the Eyecup
1. Pull the VIEWFINDER up and then turn
the screw counter-clockwise.
2. Pull the EYECUP out.
3. Clean the EYECUP and the VIEWFIND-
ER screen with a soft cloth and cotton
swab or a blower.

Reattaching the Eyecup
4. Put the EYECUP on the VIEWFINDER.
5. Put the screw back on.
Cleaning the Video Heads
✤
To ensure normal recording and
clear pictures, clean the video heads.
✤
When the playback pictures are noisy
or hardly visible, the video
heads may be dirty.

If this happens, clean the video
heads with a dry type cassette
cleaner.
1. Set the power switch to PLAYER
mode.
2. Insert the cleaning tape.
3. Press the
(PLAY/STILL) button.
4. Press the
■
(STOP) button after about 30 seconds.
Check the quality of the picture using a video cassette.
If it is stil bad, repeat the operation.
If the problem continues, contact your
local authorized service center.
Storing the Camcorder
1. You must detach the BATTERY
PACK from the camcorder when
storing.
2. Keep the camcorder in a ventilat-
ed, dry and warm place.
3. Do not keep the camcorder in a
place where the temperature often
changes, such as in a car.
4. Keep the camcorder in a stable place.

Retrait de l’oculaire
1. Tirez le viseur, puis tournez la vis dans
le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre.
2. Retirez l’oculaire.
3. Nettoyez l’oculaire et l’écran du viseur
avec un chiffon doux et un coton-tige ou
un aérosol à gaz sec.

Remontez l’oculaire
4. Replacez l’oculaire sur le viseur.
5. Remettez la vis en place.
Nettoyage des têtes vidéo

Lorsque les images sont brouillées ou
difficilement visibles, il se peut que les
têtes vidéo soient sales.
✤
Pour garantir un enreg
istrement de bonne qualité et
des images nettes, nettoyez
les têtes vidéo.
a. Image normale.
b, c. Image brouillée par des
parasites.
Dans ce cas, nettoyez les
têtes vidéo avec une cassette
de nettoyage de type sec.
1. Placez le commutateur sur la position PLAYER.
2. Insérez une cassette de nettoyage.
3. Appuyez sur la touche (PLAY/STILL).
4. Appuyez sur la touche

(STOP)
u bout de 30 secondes environ.
Vérifiez la qualité de l’image à
l’aide d’une cassette.
Si l’image demeure de mauvaise
qualité, répétez l’opération.
Si le problème persiste, contactez
votre revendeur le plus proche.
Rangement du caméscope
1. Lors du rangement du camés-
cope, retirez le bloc batterie.
2. Conservez le caméscope à
température ambiante dans un
endroit sec et aéré.
3. Ne le laissez pas dans un
endroit soumis à de
fréquents changements de température (une voiture, par
exemple).
4. Placez le caméscope dans une position stable.
