4.8.4. Drive unit problem

Problem Description

Troubleshooting Page

Machine makes noise when paper print out

1) Machine makes noise when paper print out

•

Symptom

: Machine makes noise when paper print out

•

Cause

Lack of grease in gear-train

Old type gear is assembled.

•

Troubleshooting

1) Enter the service mode.

2) Execute the fuser motor test.

(Service Mode > Diagnostics > Engine Diagnostics > Engine Test Routines > Fuser Motor Forward)

3) Remove the fuser unit. And execute the fuser motor test again.

4) If the machine still makes noise, replace the “DRIVE-FUSER EXIT” Assy.

5) If not, replace the fuser unit.
