To charge the battery with the AC power adaptor
The battery is not charged during the power saving mode, which may keep the mode indicator on or flashing. Start
charging the battery after turning off the camcorder by pressing the
Power
(
) button.
We recommend you charge the battery pack in a place with an ambient temperature of 10°C ~ 30°C (50˚F~86˚F).
When charging, if both the USB cable and AC power adaptor are connected, the AC power adaptor will override
the USB.
The camcorder does not operate with USB power only. Use the power adaptor or battery to operate the camcorder.
When charging using the USB jack, charging time may depend on the type of USB host (PC).

Open the jack cover and connect the AC
power adaptor to the DC IN jack.
3.
Connect the AC power adaptor to a wall
socket.
The charging (CHG) indicator lights up
and charging starts. After the battery
is fully charged, the charging (CHG)
indicator turns green.

Please make sure that there are no foreign substances on plug and in the socket when you connect the AC power
supply to the camcorder.
Charging the battery at low temperature may take longer or the battery may fail to fully charge (green indicator will
not turn on).

You can charge the battery using the AC power adaptor or USB cable.

Before starting the following procedure, make sure that the battery is attached in your camcorder.
To charge the battery with the USB cable
1.
Press the
Power

) button to turn off
the camcorder.

Open the jack cover.
3.
Connect the included USB cable to the
USB jack on the camcorder and to a USB
jack on a running PC.
The charging (CHG) indicator lights up
and charging starts. After the battery
is fully charged, the charging (CHG)
indicator turns green.
