DELETING A SECTION OF A VIDEO (PARTIAL DELETE)
You can delete a section of a video. As the partial delete function changes the original video file,
store a copy of the original video file separately before starting this function.

Insert a memory card.

Touch the video you want to edit.
The camcorder displays the video in paused mode.

Select the start point to delete using the playback control tabs,
then touch the (
) indicator at the start point.

Drag the playback progress bar to left or right on the LCD
screen to move directly to the start point you want.
The (
) indicator appears at the start point.

Select the end point to delete using the playback control tabs, then
touch the (
) indicator at the end point.
Drag the playback progress bar to left or right on the LCD
screen to move directly to the desired point.
The (
) indicator appears at the end point.
5.
Touch the Cut (
) tab.
The message to confirm is displayed.

Touch “
Yes
.”
The section between the start and end points is deleted.

You can not edit files that display the protect indicator (
). Cancel the protect function first.

Touch the Return (
) tab to cancel the partial deletion before it is complete or to restart the Partial Delete function.
The Partial Delete function is not available under the following conditions.
- If the recorded time of a section you want to delete is less than 3 seconds.
- If the total recorded time of a video after partial deletion is less than 3 seconds.
- If the remaining memory space is less than 15MB.
If the start point is placed behind the end point, the start/end points will be changed automatically.

The deleted section of the original video can not be recovered.
Do not eject a memory card or power off while editing a video recorded on the storage media. Doing so may
damage the storage media or data.
