Before using the terminal
Convenient features
Using Advanced features
Moving the terminal performs the following operations.
• This feature may not be available for some other apps.
• Before using the advanced features, from the Home screen, "apps folder"
→"Settings" → "Advanced features" → Tap Advanced features to turn ON
the advanced functions you want to use.
■ Smart stay
Set to not turn off screen display while looking at the screen.
■ Games
You can manage all games automatically with Game Launcher app by
setting "Game Launcher " to ON.
■ One-handed mode
Set "One-handed mode" to ON and select "Gesture" in REDUCE
SCREEN SIZE BY USING" so that you can reduce a screen by swiping
from the lower right or lower left of the screen to upward obliquely.
When you select "Button", you can reduce a screen size by quickly
tapping [Home button] 3 times.
■ Finger sensor gestures
Swipe the fingerprint sensor up/down to open/close the notification
panel.
■ Quick launch Camera
Launch Camera by quickly pressing [Power/Screen lock key] twice.
■ Device assistance app
Select default device assistance app or set whether to allow device
assistance app to use each feature.
■ Multi window
Press and hold [History button] to display an app in use in the split
screen view (P.46) or in a pop-up.
■ Smart capture
The menu ("Crop", "Share", etc.)
is displayed after a screen is
captured and you can use the
features.
■ Palm swipe to capture
Swipe the screen from right to
left or vice versa with the side
of your hand to capture the
displayed screen.
■ Smart alert
If you pick up the terminal when
there are missed calls *1 or new
SMS *2 and the screen turns off,
the terminal vibrates to notify.
*1 Notify you when the
default phone app is set
to"Contacts" or "docomo
phonebook".
*2 Notify you when the default
messaging app is set to
"Messages".
■ Swipe to call or send messages
Set whether to make call or create a message by swiping a contact or
a phone number in "Dial" or "Contacts" provided by Galaxy.
■ Dual Messenger
Use the same app with each individual account.
Add another app icon in the Home screen.
Note that apps that Dual Messenger is available are only ones
displayed in the dual messenger screen.
■ Send SOS messages
Set whether to send an SOS message to emergency contacts when
pressing [Power/Screen lock key] 3 consecutive times.
