Notes on Usage

● Rubber gaskets

• The rubber gaskets of the au IC card/microSD

memory card tray play an important role for
maintaining the waterproof performance. Do not
damage or remove the rubber gaskets.

• When closing the au IC card/microSD memory

card tray, take care not to get the rubber gaskets
caught. Trying to close the cover with a seal
pinched can scratch the seal and affect water
resistance. Even a fine debris (a piece of hair, etc.)
between contact surfaces may allow water to enter
the interior of the product.

• Any liquid other than water (alcohol, etc.) on the

product can affect product durability.

• Do not insert a sharp object into the gap between

the au IC card/microSD memory card tray. Doing
so may damage/deform the product or damage the
rubber gaskets and may allow water to enter the
interior of the product.

• Parts used for maintaining water resistance should

be replaced every 2 years regardless of their
appearance. Contact your nearest au shop for
replacement.

● Heat resistance property

• Do not submerge the product in hot water or get

it wet with hot water. Do not use the product in
saunas or expose it to hot air from hair dryer, etc.
The product is not designed to be heat resistant.

● Impact tolerance

• This product is not impact-resistant. Do not drop

or apply shock to the product. Do not poke the
microphone, receiver/speaker, speaker, etc. with
a sharp object. Doing so may damage/deform the
product and may allow water to enter the interior of
the product.
