Login only with portal PIN Deactivates authentication with the password saved in the device
(administrator password)
Instead, login is only possible with a temporary PIN transferred over
the SAM DIGITAL web portal.
Access to the device might not be possible if there is no connection
to the web portal (e.g. no Internet connection).
Deactivate the FTP server Deactivates the FTP server.
The FTP server is used for firmware updates, for example. An
update is no longer possible if this function is deactivated.
Deactivating TCP configuration Deactivates the option to address the device over the TCP protocol.
Communication via TCP allows the configuration over a stable
connection outside the subnet. Remote configuration is no longer
possible if this function is deactivated.
Modbus encryption When activated, only encrypted access is permitted. Access over
Modbus TCP with unencrypted packages is blocked.
AES-256 key Password entry for encrypted communication (AES 256)
The length is restricted to 250 characters.
7.6.10 Enabling on-site access to the gateway
A function to enable the access over a portal PIN can be activated in the 'Security' tab to
prevent unwanted remote access in the field to the gateway configuration data. This function
can only be used in combination with access to the SAM DISTRICT ENERGY web portal. It
must be enabled in the client's account. Contact your contact person at SAMSON
AG.
