7.6 Configuration windows
Depending on the device type and firmware version, the configuration windows are shown
with various tabs and parameter settings.
The firmware is being constantly developed further. To fully use all the functions, we
recommend always to operate the device with the latest firmware. The default password to
open the expert level, update the firmware and access other functions can be found in the
Annex of these mounting and operating instructions.
7.6.1 LAN
The basic functions of the Ethernet port
are configured in the 'LAN' tab. The
gateway operates in networks that use
IPv4 protocols. The gateway can work
with an IP address dynamically as-
signed by a DHCP server. Alternatively,
it can be given a static IP address and
act as a DHCP server in the network.
In the delivered state, the gateway is
ready configured to wait 60 s after
starting as a DHCP client for an IP
address to be assigned. If no IP address
is assigned within this period, the DHCP
server function is activated. The
gateway then automatically assigns an
IP address with subnet mask for itself
and all connected devices (e.g.
workstation).
