5.3.2. Disassembly
Danger
Danger of injury trough high pressure!
Pressure acting on lines and valves may cause severe injuries!
Before disconnection any lines and valves, the pressure must be switched off and the lines must be vented.
Secure plant against unauthorized activation!
Danger of injury trough media leakage (steam, hot medias, acid, lye)!
Important: After disassembly, clean all parts from dirt (do not damage parts). Check parts for
damage, replace if necessary (use only original SED parts).
→
Consider suitable protective equipment according to the regulations of the plant operator.
→
Shut down the plant or part of the plant.
→
Secure against being switched on again.
→
Depressurize the plant or plant section.
→
Move valve to open position
→
Loosen fastening screws (pos. 5) crosswise.
→
Remove actuator (pos. 1) incl. diaphragm (pos. 3) from valve body (pos. 2).
→
Clean parts in case of contamination. Replace defective parts only with original spare parts from SED Flow
Control.
For diaphragm assembly see chapter 6.2.
5.4
Installation
Before installation, ensure that the diaphragm valve is suitable for the operating conditions.
These include function, materials, operating pressure und working media in connection with operating
temperature. Depending on the operating conditions and weight of the valve a suitable fixture has to be
applied.
Take also care for aligning pipes.
Clean pipes before installation.
