Operation of the integrated accessories
The diaphragm valve has a visual position indicator, an integrated closing limit, an integrated stroke limit and
an integrated handwheel locking device as standard.
5.6.1. Optical position indicator
The optical position indicator shows the valve position. This makes it possible to detect whether the valve is
open or closed.

5.6.2. Integrated travel stop
The integrated closing limit makes it possible to limit the closing process. This may be desired to guarantee a
minimum flow or to protect the diaphragm from overload during closing. In the factory setting, the closing
limitation is preset so that the valve is completely closed, but the diaphragm is protected against overload.
There are two different versions of the closing limitation, depending on the diaphragm dimension.
Set travel stop for MA8 & MA10:
→
Move the valve to the desired position. Attention. Maximum opening 50% of actuator stroke with
valve body!
→
Screw nut M2 down as far as it will go (see figure 4).
→
Then screw nut M1 down until it rests on M2.
→
The travel stop is set.
