TRACTOR FRONT DISC MOWER
USER MANUAL
- A tractor PTO speed too low will reduce the mowing performance; in extreme conditions, the mower
will fail to cut.
- In remedied (reclaimed) meadows, reduce the mower deck ground pressure for the first swath or after
a long, heavy rain.

5.7.2. Mower clogging
Operation of the mower requires attention to changes in the mowing area conditions which may
increase the risk of clogging, including roughness of terrain, grass height and density, and foreign
bodies concealed in the grass. Adapt the operating ground speed while mowing as required by the
conditions in the field. To troubleshoot a clog, lower the mower deck to the ground, disengage the PTO,
stop the tractor engine, remove the ignition key and proceed with extreme caution. When clearing the
mower deck system, wear protective gloves and tightly fitting clothes.
NOTE:
Clearing clogs and jams while the machine is running is a hazard of injury!
5.7.3. Driving the mower clear of the stubble on headlands
Lift the mower with the TPH to the required clear height and turn around.
CAUTION!
The TPH designs may vary greatly between tractor makes. Before attempting to
operate the mower, verify the articulation angle of the PTO with the mower
raised all the way up. If the articulation angle is too high (> 35°), do not lift the
mower to the maximum height. This will help avoid failure of the PTO.
