Filling/draining the steam generator
WARNING! Risk of scalding and burning!
● Do not immediately release the hose connections or open the fill/overflow tap after
switching off the appliance.
● The steam generator and the hoses are under pressure.
● Allow the appliance to cool.
● The steam generator must be depressurized for filling or draining!

Switch off the mains switch upstream of the appliance and secure it against being
switching on.
● Before commissioning, the steam generator must be filled with softened water (maximum 5°dH).
Fill quantity approx. 45 litres.
● The steam generator may only be filled by an authorized customer service!
● It is only necessary to top it up in exceptional cases (e.g. the system is leaking or after servicing
work).

Remove front panels, refer to page 32 Chapter 9.3
Preparatory work for filling

Close drain tap.

Connect the drain hose to the overflow tap and
discharge into a vessel or a ground drain.

Open overflow tap.
.
Close the fill hose at the fill tap.

Open the fill tap.
Filling

Fill softened water through the fill hose at the
fill tap, for example, using a funnel.
● The water level is attained when water es
capes from the overflow tap.

Wait until no more water flows from the over
flow tap, only then close the overflow tap.

Close the fill tap.

Remove the fill and drain hose.
.
Close the appliance using the front panels.
Draining the steam generator
The steam generator must be drained by the customer service,
‒ if the appliance will not be used for several months,
‒ if the appliance is stored in rooms in which the ambient temperature falls below 0 degrees,
‒ for service work on the steam generator.

Connect the drain hose to the drain tap and discharge into a vessel or a ground drain.
