Switching the appliance on and adding food for cooking
Turn the rotary switch to the desired temper
ature.
The indicator lamp or the illuminated ring will
light up.
To avoid a high temperature load on the
cooking oil/fat during the heating-up pro
cess, the thermostat only switches to full
heating capacity after reaching a fat temper
ature of approx. 85
°
C.
Cover the deep fat fryer with the deep fat fryer lid during the heating-up process.
Once the yellow indicator light has gone out, fill the fry basket with the food to be cooked.
Lower the fry basket plus contents briefly into the hot cooking oil/fat and then remove it, to
prevent the oil/fat from frothing over. Repeat this process until the cooking oil/fat stops foam
ing.
For short work breaks, use the rotary switch to set the temperature to approx. 100-120
o
C
and cover the deep fat fryer tub with the cover.

Filtering the cooking oil/fat
CAUTION
Hot surfaces! Risk of burns. Wear protective gloves, safety clothing and safety
goggles!
Filter the frying oil/frying fat each day; this increases its life significantly and the frying oil and
frying fat can be used longer.
Extra fitting - pump: Just as the pump makes the filling process easier, it also enables the filter
ing of the cooking oil/fat, even during short pauses in frying. See also chapter 37, page 3.2.4!
