15.1.
ADDENDUM FOR PARTLY COMPLETED MACHINERY ACCORDING TO DIRECTIVE

Purpose
: This document describes the particular criteria for installation and coupling to a motor part that must be adopted
for the correct operation of the pump (s) in question, as well as the main safety provisions to be complied with to avoid
damage to property and / or persons during operation of the pump (s).
15.1.1. CONNECTION TO A MOTOR PART BY FLEXIBLE COUPLING
If you intend to couple the pump to a standardised electric motor using a flexible coupling, consult the "Use and
Maintenance Manual" supplied with the pump and the "Assembly and Disassembly" manual available on the website "

”, which outlines the main provisions to be complied with in order to carry out a correct
coupling.
The pump can be supplied with a standard joint cover, designed to prevent operators from accidentally coming into
contact with the rotating parts during pump operation. Check, before starting the machine, that these joint covers are
suitable for performing their protective function in light of the dimensional characteristics of the joint used.
If the dimensions of the installed joint do not allow the use of the standard joint cover supplied with the machine, or if
the joint cover has not been supplied, it will be the responsibility of the user / installer to procure and install adequate
protection to guarantee the safety of the operators present in the operating area of the pump and in compliance with the
safety regulations in force.
Once the protection of the coupling parts has been installed, it is necessary to check that there is no sliding between the
protection and the parts themselves in order to avoid overheating of the elements in question.
15.1.2.
CONNECTION TO A MOTOR PART THROUGH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF COUPLING
If you intend to couple the pump to a generic motor unit or use a coupling device different from a flexible coupling, it is
necessary to check the operating limits in the catalogue or in the process of the commercial offer and available on the
"Use and Maintenance Manual" supplied with the pump. If necessary, contact the technical department.
If you intend to use a coupling method different from the one described above, you must consult the instruction manual
supplied by the manufacturer of the coupling parts to verify the criteria for their use.
It is the responsibility of the user / installer to procure and install adequate protection to guarantee the safety of the
operators present in the operating area of the pump and in compliance with the safety regulations in force.
Once the protection of the coupling parts has been installed, it is necessary to check that there is no sliding between the
protection and the parts themselves in order to avoid overheating of the elements in question.
Anyone who installs the "partly completed machine" inside their own machine, connecting it to a motor part, is required to
provide the end user with specific instructions on the operation of his product.
CAUTION!
Periodically check the degree of wear of the coupling with respect to the criteria recommended by the
manufacturer.
