 Fill the Water Reservoir with cold water between the MIN and MAX 

markings on the Water Level Window. 

notE:

 The Water Reservoir has  

a safety hole above the MAX/7 cup mark. If the Water Reservoir  

is overfilled the water will leak out onto the counter. 

4.  Close the Coffee Maker Cover. 
5.   Slide out the Filter Basket. Remove the Filter Basket Cover and 

Permanent Filter. 

6.   Fill the Permanent Filter with the desired amount of ground coffee.  

notE:

 Use pre-ground coffee specifically for automatic drip coffee  

makers. Usually one Coffee Measuring Scoop or a level tablespoon  

of ground coffee is used for each 5 oz. (142 ml) cup of coffee. 

 

 notE: 

The maximum capacity for ground coffee is 12 Measuring 

Scoops or tablespoons, exceeding that amount may cause overflow  

if the coffee is too finely ground.  

7.   Place the Permanent Filter in the Filter Basket. Replace the Filter 

Basket Cover and slide the Filter Basket back into position. 

8.   Plug into a 120 volt wall outlet if the Coffee Maker if not already 

plugged in. 

9.   Place Lid on the Carafe by turning clockwise. Then place the Carafe  

on the Bottom Plate.  

10.   Press the Grinder Off Button and the yellow indicator light above the 

Grinder Off Button will illuminate. (Once started the Coffee Maker  

will omit the step of grinding beans and go directly to the brew  

cycle.) 

IMPoRtAnt: 

The Grinder will start for a few seconds then  

automatically turn off.

11.  Press the ON/OFF Button to start the brew cycle. 
12.   The Coffee Maker will turn off automatically once the brew cycle  

is complete.

Setting the Current time

1.   Plug into a 120 volt AC outlet. 12:00 will be shown in the display  

window. 

notE:

 You do not need to set the clock if you are not using 

the Delay Start feature.  

2.   Press the Program Button once. The word ‘Clock’ will be shown in  

the Display Window to indicate that you are in the current time setting 

mode. Press the Hour Button to set the hours then press the Minute 

Button to set the minutes. Hold down the Hour or Minute Buttons
