BEFoRE FIRSt USE 

Wash the Carafe, Carafe Lid, Filter Basket, Permanent Filter, Filter Basket 

Cover, Grinder and Grinder Cover in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly 

and dry. Wipe the Main Housing with a soft damp cloth. 

Do not

 immerse 

Main Housing in water or any other liquid. 
Prior to brewing coffee for the first time run the machine with water only. 

Follow the directions in the HOW TO USE ‘Brewing Coffee with Pre-Ground 

Beans’ section omitting the coffee and Permanent Coffee Filter. 

HoW to USE

Grinding Beans & Brewing Coffee 
notE: 

The current time does not have to be set if you are not using the 

Delay Start feature. 
1.   Open the Coffee Maker Cover by gently pushing the Lid Release 

towards the back of the unit. 

notE:

 If the Coffee Maker is plugged in, 

it will ‘beep’ as long as the Cover is left open or the Grinder Cover is 

not installed.

2.   Remove the Grinder Cover by turning counterclockwise  

and lifting off. Lift up and remove the Grinder and  

add the required amount of coffee beans for the  

number of cups of coffee. (See the markings on  

the inside of the Grinder See Ill. 2.)  

notE:

  

- The Grinder must be removed before filling  

  with coffee beans.  

Do not

 exceed 6 oz. (170 g) of coffee  

  beans. 

Do not

 overfill the Grinder. 

3.   Place the Grinder back into  

the Coffee maker. The  

Connector must be locked into  

the Grinder Motor Shaft. (Ill. 3)  

otherwise the coffee beans will  

not be ground. 

4.   Replace the Grinder Cover and turn clockwise  

so that the Grinder Cover Tab is pointed to  

the ‘LOCK’ (symbol) position (See Ill. 1).  

5.   Move the Grinder Door Tab to the lock position  

(     ) (furthermost left position).
