6. Fill the Water Reservoir with cold water between the MIN and MAX
markings on the Water Level Window.
notE:
The Water Reservoir
has a safety hole above the MAX/7 cup mark. If the Water Reservoir is
overfilled the water will leak out onto the counter.
7. Close the Coffee Maker Cover.
8. Slide out the Filter Basket, remove the Filter Basket Cover and ensure
that the Permanent Filter is in position. Replace the Filter Basket Cover
and slide the Filter Basket back into position.
9. Place the Lid on the Carafe by turning clockwise then place on
the Bottom Plate.
10. Plug into a 120 volt AC outlet.
11. If making between 2 – 4 cups of coffee, press the ‘2 – 4 cup’ Button
and the yellow indicator light will illuminate. The grinder will run
for approximately 20 – 30 seconds. If making 5 – 7 cups of coffee
the yellow Indicator Light should be off. The grinder will run for
approximately 30 – 40 seconds.
12. Press the ON/OFF Button once and the red Indicator Light will illuminate
and the grinding process will start. The Buzzer will sound when the
grinding process is finished and the brew cycle starts.
13. The Coffee Maker will turn off automatically once the brew cycle
is complete.
Brewing Coffee with Pre-ground Beans

You do not have to set the current time if you do not want to use
the Delay Start cycle.
1. Open the Coffee Maker Cover by gently pushing the Lid Release towards
the back of the unit.
notE:
If the Coffee Maker is plugged in, it will
‘beep’ as long as the Cover is left open or the Grinder Cover is not
installed.
2. Ensure that the Grinder Cover Tab is pointed to the ‘LOCK’ ( )
position (See Ill. 1).
3. The Grinder Door Tab must be in the ‘LOCK’ ( ) position. If it is
the unlock position follow the instructions in the 'Care and Cleaning'
section #6 to remove the Grinder Trap Door Assembly and press the
square button on the left side of the Assembly to close the door.
Replace the Assembly in the Coffee Maker.
