8. CONFIGURATION OF
THE REMOTE CONNECTION
OF THE DEVICE.
8.1. INTERNET CONFIGURATION.
Important
: SLC ENERGY MANAGER has a preset IP
address for its first connection. This IP will always be
available and fixed, although the configuration of the secondary IP
will be necessary for correct use.
Once SLC ENERGY MANAGER has been installed in your power
panel, you must correctly configure an available IP in order to
access the SLC ENERGY MANAGER on-board panel remotely.
There are 3 options for this.
8.1.1. Connection via a WiFi Access Point.
SLC ENERGY MANAGER comes pre-configured with a network in
Access Point mode, which can be accessed in order to configure
it. On the front view of the Manager is a QR and below that,
the Energy Manager's local SSID credentials.
Connect to the network specified under the QR label. The pass-
word is the same as the serial number.
Once connected, access IP
and configure the network
so that the SLC ENERGY MANAGER acquires a secondary IP
required for operation. See section "Panneau embarqué." a network
configuration guide.
If connecting via fixed IP, first configure the local WiFi network
using the following parameters:
In the "Address" field, enter an IP address between 192.168.1.50
and 192.168.1.100, with the first three values being fixed and the
last one modifiable from 51 to 100.
Finally, after saving the configuration, make the connection.
8.1.2. PPPoE connection (RJ45 cable).
Firstly, connect one end of the RJ45 Ethernet cable to the Energy
Manager's dedicated slot and the other end to your computer.
Once connected, check that the Ethernet input LEDs are flashing.
Next, configure the point-to-point connection by accessing your
computer's network connections and creating a new network con-
nection with the parameters below.
Once the network has been configured, access the on-board panel
via the preset IP. In this case, the IP address is
.
Therefore, enter this address in the web browser:
See section "Panneau embarqué." to continue the SLC ENERGY
MANAGER network configuration guide.
8.1.3. USB connection (micro USB cable).
Firstly, connect one end of the micro USB cable to the ENERGY
MANAGER's dedicated slot and the other end to your computer.
Once connected, your computer will report a new connected
device. Check the status in the Device Manager.
Once the connection between the Energy Manager device and the
PC has been verified, the computer will be assigned an IP address.
This is normally 192.168.6.1 for MacOS/Linux OS and 192.168.7.1
for Windows OS.
