INSTALLATION, POWER SUPPLY, CHARGING
The device can be operated from the built-in battery after charging. The battery must
be charged prior to the first use. Connect the supplied microUSB connection cable to
the radio, then to a USB power supply and leave the radio switched off. While charg
-
ing, a red LED on the backside lights up. Remove the charging cable when the LED is
off. When the battery is completely depleted, the charging time takes approx. 5 hours.
This provides approx. 22 hours of operation at medium volume. It also depends on the
volume set, the mode selected and the ambient temperature. The test was performed
by listening to the radio at room temperature. It can also be charged during use, but
this increases the charging time. Recharge if it is depleted. This is also indicated by a
voice message: „Lower battery, please recharge”
• Turn off the clock display (VOL OFF), when you are not using the device.
• The fading screen, decreasing volume, or distorted sound indicates that the bat-
tery is depleted.
• You can use a USB charger, mobile phone charger or computer which owns a USB
connector for charging. Charging may occasionally cause noise in the speaker.
• When charging is complete, disconnect the charging cable. Warming during charg-
ing is a natural phenomenon.
• You can listen to the device during charging, but this results in a slower charging.
• It is recommended to charge the battery every 3 months even when it is not in use,
to reach a longer lifespan. If it depletes during use, charge it up immediately, do not
store it together with the depleted battery.
• The built-in battery does not require maintenance. Can be replaced by a special-
ist after disassembling the product. When the device has reached the end of its
lifespan, both the device and the battery become hazardous waste.
SELECTING THE FUNCTIONS
Switch the device on using the
VOL+/-
rotary knob. The screen shows the clock, the
brightness of which can be adjusted with the
DIMMER
rotary knob.
Press the
M (MODE)
button to select the desired function. On the screen, the following
indications can be read:
BLUE-BT:
wireless
BT
connection,
FM:
radio mode,
USB:
USB reader mode,
SD-TF:
microSD reader mode,
AUX:
external audio input
• If there is no USD/microSD signal source connected, then that mode cannot be
selected.
• If you find the volume way too loud in VOL01 stage, it is recommended to use
headphones.
USING THE RADIO
Select the
FM
mode using the
MODE
button. The screen shows the FM subtitle and
the current frequency. Carefully pull out the antenna and adjust it for the best recep
-
tion. Pressing the
button briefly starts an automatic station search and the found
radio stations are stored. The process can be followed on the screen, in the end it
switches to the program found first. You can switch between radio stations by briefly
pressing the scroll buttons
. You can tune manually by holding pressed one of
the scroll buttons. Then the PRESET button fixes the current frequency, always from
the first to the next program position: P01…P02…P50
• The last digit of the screen means x100kHz value. For instance: 1025 = 102.5 MHz.
• The search stops when it detects a variable signal strength – this does not always
mean finding a radio program.
• The reception capability of the radio depends to a large extent on the place of use
and the current reception conditions.
• Nearby electrical equipment and larger metal objects may interfere with reception.
• Carefully pull out the telescopic antenna and adjust it in the direction of best recep-
tion. The placement of the device also affects the quality of reception.
• If you are listening to it even during charging, network noise may occasionally
appear in the speakers. This device was not designed to be used from battery, it is
recommended to recharge it after use.
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
Select BT mode using the MODE button. The screen shows BLUE. The device can be
paired with other devices communicating with BT protocol within a maximum range of
10 meters. You can then listen to music played on your mobile phone, tablet, notebook
and other similar devices.
Place a mobile phone or other similar BT device near the radio. Locate nearby BT
devices – including this device – as described in the instruction manual of the device
to be paired. Connect the two devices. After a successful pairing, a short beep sounds.
You can then listen to the desired program on the radio. Start the phone’s music player,
which you can control with the radio control buttons (
).
When you receive a phone call, you can answer or end it by pressing the
button.
• A radio can be paired with one BT device simultaneously.
• A beep sounds when the wireless connection is lost. Depending on the external de-
vice, reconnection may need to be done manually by reactivating BT mode.
• The volume and sound quality are highly dependent on the mobile phone, etc. set-
tings. An installed equalizer application can allow you to set the desired custom sound.
• If there is a pairing problem, turn the BT mode and BT function on and off on the
external device and try again.
• The available range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions.
MUSIC PLAYBACK (USB/microSD device)
Use the
MODE
button to select the
USB
or
SD/TF
mode, depending on which source
is inserted. You cannot select the music player function without a source. However, the
device switches from another mode to USB/SD mode, if you insert an external storage
device that contains MP3 / WMA /FLAC /APE files. Playback starts automatically. Use
the play-pause
and scroll
buttons to select the desired track. By holding
the scroll buttons pressed, quick search activates. Pressing and holding the scroll
buttons activates quick search. After scrolling, the track number is displayed for a short
period of time, then the elapsed time.
• Do not remove the memory card or USB device during playback, as this may
damage the data and the storage device.
• Recommended file system: FAT32. Do not use an NTFS formatted memory unit.
• The individual characteristics of the mass storage device may cause a malfunc-
tion, this does not indicate the malfunction of the device.
• Do not store different types of files on the memory card other than playable files,
as this may slow down or prevent playback.
THE AUDIO INPUT
You can listen to the external device connected to the rear
AUX IN
input. Connect
the supplied 3.5 mm audio cable to the
AUX IN
socket. The screen
AUX
subtitle and
the device switches to
AUX
mode. Use the
MODE
button to switch to another signal
source, and then return to
AUX
mode again. You can mute the speaker with the
button, while the
PAUS
message is visible.
• The volume and sound quality largely depend on the settings of the external
device (computer, mobile phone, etc.). A small input signal may result in more noise
and an input signal that is too large may result in distorted sound. It is recommended
to leave the volume control of the playback device in the center position.
AUDIO AUX OUT / USING HEADPHONES
You can connect stereo earphones or headphones to the
∅
3,5 mm
AUX OUT/
PHONES
connection socket. The speaker then switches off. You can connect an exter
-
nal amplifier or an active sound box to the same audio output to provide higher volume.
EQ – DEEP SOUNDING
Press the
EQ
button to turn
BASS
mode
ON/OFF
for a deeper tone. This function is
not available in radio and AUX mode.

on whether you want to select 12-hour or 24-hour display mode. In 12-hour mode,
the
AM-PM
indicators show if it’s morning or afternoon. You can adjust the number
of flashing hours by pressing or holding the
scroll buttons. Then use the
TIME
button to step to the minutes and set it, then press
TIME
button to save it or
wait for 5 second.
• You have 5 seconds between settings to press another button. If the clock has
already exited the setting mode, press the TIME button again and start over.
• The clock is not displayed after the device is switched off. To keep the clock dis-
play, select the clock mode (MODE) and set the volume to „0”.
• The DIMMER control adjusts the brightness of the display.
ALARM MODES
It is possible to set two different alarm times simultaneously and even the source can
be different. The
ALARM1
and
ALARM2
times can be set in a similar way.
Hold pressed the
ALARM1
(or
ALARM2
) button, until the clock display starts flashing.
You can adjust the number of flashing hours with the
scroll buttons. Then
press the ALARM1 button to step to the minutes and set it, then press
ALARM1

in at the back, an alarm sounds
Once you have set all the alarm parameters, finally press the
ALARM1
button to end
the process and turn off the radio (VOL OFF). The screen shows the ALARM1 and/
or ALARM2 alarm clock symbol, if the alarm is active. If the alarm clock is not visible,
there will be no alarm. .
• You have 5 seconds between settings to press another button. If the clock has
already exited the setting mode, press ALARM1 button again and start over.
• It is
recommended to use alarm sound A1
for safe alarm, as the effectiveness
of the other options also depend on external factors. If the alarm does not sound,
you may need to turn the VOL switch on and off to cancel the alarm. The standard
alarm tone can be deleted with the SNOOZE or other buttons, see the next section.
• Depending on its settings and version, the BT wireless device may disconnect
form the radio by the time of the alarm comes.
