Replace child restraint pad by reversing order; Starting from
bottom of child restraint, slip pad on plastic shell; pull
harness tightening strap through pad. Wrap pad around the
top of shell. Replace harness guides.

Attach all of the elastic straps.

Rethread harness (see section C-9).

Remove Pad 

Pull pad off the top of child
restraint and remove pad.

NOTE:

DO NOT remove the

air protect

system from the

shell.

Do not use child restraint without the pad. 

Cleaning Pad  

Hand wash pad with warm sudsy water, rinse clean and air
dry. Spot clean the harness straps. Do not use bleach or use
other harsh cleaners. Do not dry clean.

Turn the seat over and
locate the lower harness
seat guides.

Place the screw driver’s tip
between shell and harness
guide, then twist the screw
driver while pulling the
harness guide from the
front. Repeat for other side.

Install Buckle 

Fit the buckle’s metal
retainer through the slot in
the child restraint. Red
button must face out.

Pull buckle's metal retainer

completely through pad
and shell

from bottom 

of seat.

Check Buckle 

Pull up on buckle to make
sure it is secured.

The

buckle must not pull
out.
