A

Access Mode

An access mode determines the route a protected application follows to
obtain a license. See page 54 for more information.

Action

Refers to a collection of remote update commands.

AES

Short for Advanced Encryption Standard—an industry-standard symmetric
key encryption algorithm. You can use it through the AES feature to
encrypt/decrypt 16-bytes of data.

API

Short for Application Program Interface. The set of client interface routines
your application uses to communicate with the Sentinel Key.
