LEDs
Power LED is off.
• Make sure the power cable is attached and plugged
in to both the device and the power outlet.
Failure LED is illuminated.
• The device diagnostics detected a severe hardware
error during the boot process. Contact SafeNet
Customer Support.
Alarm LED is illuminated.
• The device has detected a policy configuration
error. Edit the recently modified policy to correct the
problem.
Alarm LED is flashing.
• The HA4000 is loading software. The boot process
is in progress.
Link LEDs are off.
• Check the network cable. Verify correct transmit
and receive cable polarity.
• Check the operational status of the equipment
being connected.
• Verify that the auto-negotiation and flow control
settings on the local or remote port in question
match those on the switch or router. See “Set the
Remote Port Auto-Negotiation and Flow Control”
on page 20 and “Layer 2 MAC Address Resolution”
on page 27.
• If the problem is not resolved, the network may not
be functioning properly. Consult a local network
administrator.
No flashing traffic lights.
• Check physical connectivity. The HA4000 is not
receiving traffic.
• Verify that the policies are set up to allow traffic to
pass through the unit.
• Check with the Network Administrator to ensure
proper placement in the network.
Log on
Administrator password is
forgotten or lost.
• Contact SafeNet Customer Support.
Not able to log in to the CLI.
• Verify the password.
