Installing Software HASP
3.2.1
Activating a Trial Version
Trial versions are available only for the products intended for local use (on a single PC).
To get a trial version, contact STC sales team. A product lead will then provide you with the relevant
installation package and an
.exe
file containing the HASP SL Trial key.
You can use a trial key for 90 days since the software has been run for the first time.
Install the STC licensed software by unpacking the installation package and the
setup.exe
file it contains, and
then following the installation wizard instructions.
Once the software has been installed, make sure the HASP Driver is working by checking whether the

methods below.
3.2.1.1
Using the Command Prompt
Run the Command Prompt as administrator by clicking
Start > All Programs > Accessories
, then right-
clicking
Command Prompt
and selecting
Run as administrator
. Alternatively, you can just type
cmd
into
the search box after opening the
Start
menu.
Open the folder housing the
.exe
file with the trial key and use your mouse to drag and drop it into the
command prompt. Then, hit
spacebar
and type
–i
(Fig. 1). Press
Enter

Wait till Windows runs the command, then check whether the
. Finally, run the installed STC
software by clicking on its shortcut on your desktop or via the
Start
menu.
3.2.1.2
Using the .bat File
Double-click the
.bat
file intended for the trial key installation. The file will run the key installation command
(the key itself is an
.exe
file).
