In this section we have compiled a list of problems, their causes and their solutions, in the
possible case that you meet one.
If you come across a problem that is not covered in the troubleshooting section, please
contact your dealer. Have your user manual and the serial number of your shredder to hand.
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
The engine does not
start - Emergency circuit-breaker safety
catch(es) is (are) engaged.
-The battery is flat
-The power supply cables are damaged
-Engine emergency stop electro valve is
defective (diesel)
-Fuse in the distribution box or in the
watertight fuse holder on the starter
cable has burnt out. - Release the safety catch(es)
-Charge or replace the battery
-Check the electric circuits
-Check the electro valve
-Replace the fuse
Engine power
reduction
-Gas-oil or petrol filter clogged
-Blades and hammers blunt -Replace the filter
-Sharpen or replace the blades.
Change the hammer pellets
The feeder refuses
to run - Hydraulic motor or pump defective
-Not enough oil in the reservoir -Check or replace the defective part
-Check the oil level
The rotor is not
turning although
the engine is
running -Belts defective or insufficiently
tightened -Replace and/or adjust the belt
tension pulley
The machine has
difficulty shredding -Blades and hammers are blunt
-Belts defective or insufficiently
tightened
-Anti-jamming system not functioning
-Clutch has no more power
-Sharpen or replace the blades.
