9. Maintenance and care
Service
The warranty can be extended up to a total of 4 years by concluding
a maintenance contract with S.M.S GmbH. For further information,
please contact S.M.S GmbH.
Repairs
If the unit is defective, disconnect it from the mains power sup
ply immediately. Have repairs carried out only by specialists
authorized by S.M.S GmbH and only using original replacement
parts.
Unauthorized repairs can result in serious risks to the user. In case of
defects that occur within the warranty period, send in the entire system.
Safety inspections
S
afe operation of the unit is not ensured under the following conditions:

If the unit shows visible signs of damage.

If the unit no longer functions.
-
After prolonged storage under unfavourable conditions.
In these cases, notify S.M.S GmbH after-sales service.
If the XYBERMAX XP1 is sent in for repairs:

Completely remove any residual ink.

Clean the unit, making sure that no moisture enters the hous-
ing; spraying with water or blowing with compressed air is not
permitted.

Include a description of the problem.
Storage and transport conditions

Permissible storage temperate: -40°C to +70°C

Use the original packaging material. This is necessary in order
to provide sufficient protection against damage during transport.
