6. Intended use
T
he S.M.S XYBERMAX XP1 colour mixing computer consists of the
operating unit (TFT display, keyboard and computer. On the inside the
housing peripheral connections is via a connection cable explosion-
proof Paint scale Ex Zone2 connected. An explosion-protected colour
mixing scale is connected by a connecting cable to the USB ports on
the housing. The connecting cable is guided through the special cable
fitting.
User software installed on the control unit can be used to control the
colour mixing scale connected to the XYBERMAX XP1.
The process data for the mixing process can be monitored on the
SVGA TFT display of the XYBERMAX XP1.
In accordance with the declaration of conformity, the XYBERMAX XP1
colour mixing computer, in compliance with the general conditions, is
suitable for mixing colours and paints, including the corresponding ad-
ditives (hardeners, thinning agents, etc.) in explosive rooms and/or ar-
eas classified as Zone 2 as specified in ATEX 137 (European operating
safety regulation in accordance with Directive 99/92/EC).
Likewise, the limits defined by the responsible authorities concerning
the type and quantity of materials to be processed must be taken into
account, in addition to the specific facilities at the equipment location.
Before connecting and operating the XYBERMAX XP1 colour
mixing computer, the operating instructions must be read care
fully and made accessible to the users at all times.
