ASSEMBLY
CAUTION
Assembly of your shredder requires two people.
■
Insert the axle (2) through the holes in each leg (3).
Note
: The legs should be angled outwards (Fig. 3)
and the pin holes on the legs should face inside.
■
Turn the shredder upside down (Fig. 4).
■
Insert the leg frame onto the motor housing (Fig. 5).
■
Attach the end frame (4) onto the leg frame.
■
Secure the legs with hex screws (7), spring washer
(14) and a saddle washer (6) for each leg and secure
the end frame with round screws (8) and washers
(13) (Fig. 6). Tighten all nuts and screws.
■
Insert wheels (5) onto the ends of the axle and secure
with washers (9) and hitch pins (10) (Fig. 7).
■
Your shredder is now ready for use.
OPERATION
■
Your shredder is designed to shred organic garden
waste in a private garden. It is not suitable for
shredding glass, metal, plastic or fabric. It should also
not be used for other very hard or very soft material
or for professional use.
■
Plug the shredder into the mains supply. The Live
Tool Indicator (g) will lit. Select forward rotation by
turning the forward/reverse selection knob (f) to the
right. Turn on using the on/off switch (e).
■
To get the maximum service from your shredder,
we recommend that you do not attempt to shred any
twigs or branches over 40 mm in diameter.
