OPERATION

USING THE PATIO CLEANER

See Figures 9 - 10.

WARNING:

Never use the patio cleaner on a rooftop or other unstable
surface, which can result in death or serious personal
injury.

WARNING:

Do not wear loose clothing, scarves, or jewelry. They can
be caught in moving parts and cause death or serious
personal injury.

WARNING:

Keep all debris discharge pointed away from all electri-
cal devices to reduce the risk of electrocution or electric
shock.

WARNING:

Never point the patio cleaner in the direction of people or
pets. Thrown debris or other objects can cause serious
personal injuries.

Hold the patio cleaner with your right hand on the rear handle
and your left hand on the front handle. Keep a firm grip with
both hands while in operation. The patio cleaner should be
held at a comfortable position with the trigger handle about
hip height. Maintain your grip and balance on both feet.
Position yourself so that you will not be drawn off balance
by the brush thrust of the rotating brush.



Take notice of the direction of the wind before beginning.
When possible, discharge debris in the same direction as
the wind to prevent debris from being thrown back into
your face.



Work in one direction. Start the patio cleaner and walk
slowly behind the patio cleaner, cleaning as you go.

Do

not pull the unit towards you during operation.

Release

the switch trigger to stop the rotation of the brush. Return
to the starting point to begin sweeping another strip.

NOTE:

For a deep clean, pour a small amount of warm

soapy water onto the cleaning surface prior to operation.

Do not run the tool in a puddle of any depth.

WARNING:

Do not use the patio cleaner on raised obstacles. Striking
any raised obstacle while using the patio cleaner could
damage the unit. If contact does occur and results in
damage or vibration when operating the patio cleaner,
stop and discontinue use. Continuing to operate a dam-
aged unit could result in serious personal injury.
