Connecting 12-volt Triggered Devices to
12-volt Trigger Ports
The SMC can control 12-volt triggered devices such as relays, motor controls,
shade controls, projector screen controls, and other control circuits that require
no more than 200 ma of current at 12 volts�
To connect 12-volt triggered devices or control circuits to the SMC’s 12-volt
trigger ports:
Connect the positive (+) and negative (–) leads of a two-conductor cable 1�
to one of the supplied Phoenix plugs making sure to observe the polarity
indicated on the SMC’s rear panel�
Connect the other ends (+) and (–) of the cable to the port of the device or 2�
circuit to be controlled�
Connect the Phoenix plug into one of the 12-volt Trigger Ports on the SMC’s 3�
rear panel�

Add the 12-volt trigger device into the Life|ware configuration using the 4�
information provided on the Installer Worksheet�
Connecting AC Power
To connect AC Power, use the supplied ISO power cable as shown below:
