• Lamp Hour s Re s et: When you replace the projector lamp, you should also reset the
lamp hour counter to zero so that the lamp usage information in the Lamp Info window
is accurate. To do this, select Lamp Hours Reset from the Display Device - Configure
menu.
A confirmation dialog box appears. Enter the serial number of the new lamp using the
, , and buttons on the DHD Controller front-panel keypad or remote control
unit, as follows:
1. Press or to select a character to edit.
2. Press or to edit that character.
3. When you have finished entering the serial number, press ENTER .
4. Select “Set in Display” to continue with the reset (or “Cancel” to cancel the operation).
5. Press ENTER again. This adds the new lamp serial number to the Lamp History
menu and resets the Lamp Hours timer to zero. Lamp Mode and Lamp Limit remain
as they were for the previous lamp and can be changed at any time.
• Diagno s tic s : Select Diagnostics from the Display Device - Configure menu, then
select Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Cyan or Magenta to display only that color channel
(simulating a filter of that color). This can be useful for calibration or measurement
purposes.
To restore the normal picture (all colors), select White.
Di s play Device - Auto Calibration: Auto Calibration is a process in which the projector
quickly optimizes critical display parameters such as size, position and pixel tracking,
based on the type of incoming video signal. Auto Calibration allows you to quickly get the
image “in the ballpark” after which you can perform further calibration, if necessary.
To perform an Auto Calibration, do one of the following:
On the VX-44d/-55d Built-in Keypad ( s ee Figure 2-3): Press AUTO S ETUP followed
by ENTER . When the Auto Setup completes, press ENTER again to keep the new
settings.
On the DHD Controller Remote Control: Select Di s play Device from the Service
Menu. Then, select Auto Calibration and set it to Ye s .
What an “Auto Calibration” Doe s : Auto Calibration sets the following parameters to
their default values:
• Contrast and Brightness
• Auto Input Level (off)
• Detail (if video source)
• Filter
• Luma Delay
