With a 16:9 source
image, Letterbox mode
crops the top and
bottom portion of the
image and vertically
stretches the remaining
portion to fill a 16:9
image area.
It scales (zooms in on) a
4:3 image linearly (by the
same amount on all
sides) to fill a 16:9
display.
