6 | Firmware Update

If you want to keep your TM3 up to date, periodic maintenance of the
system software is neccessary, because you only will ﬁ nd options and
licences that were already available at the release date of the software
version installed on the unit. Firmware updates (and Devicer DC 1
conﬁ guration software, too) are available at the member area of RTW‘s
web site or from your sales partner.

NOTE -

If using Devicer DC 1 conﬁ guration software, please

make sure, that Devicer software and TM3 ﬁ rmware both are up-to-date.
If necessary, please also proceed a Devicer update beside the ﬁ rmware
update. Then restart TM3 twice.

The ﬁ rmware update couldn‘t be simpler to operate: The TM3 is connec-
ted to a computer just like an USB drive. the update ﬁ le will directly be
stored on the TM3. After the correct unmounting form the computer
system, TM3 only needs to be restarted twice.

In the following paragraphs the update is described in detail for the ope-
rating systems Windows® and Mac OS X®.
